Growing up, I spent hours looking at the old photo albums and scrapbooks that filled our shelves. Moments from my parents’ and grandparents’ lives captivated me most. I didn’t know it then, but that habit of studying old photographs would shape the way I photograph today.
As a recent bride, I know the modern wedding planning experience well. All the decisions and pressure, how much trust it takes to hand your memories to someone else. But more importantly, I value what this season means. I believe marriage is a sacred covenant, and it’s a privilege to photograph the day your marriage begins.

This verse is the heart behind what I do. This work isn’t just about photographs. It’s about serving my couples well on their special day and reflecting God’s grace through it all. That’s the foundation Emma Jo Marsh Photography is built upon.

When he’s not writing code, Max is often by my side as EJMP’s second shooter. He’s a software engineer by day, avid guitar player, and he is the calm, observant balance to my energy and direction. Shooting weddings together is such a joy for us. We believe in marriage, we believe in teamwork, and we love getting to celebrate alongside you. By the end of the night, we usually end up on the dance floor, camera in hand.
When we’re not working, you can usually find us outside, walking our black lab, Layla, planning our next trip to the beach or mountains, or tending to our ever-growing collection of houseplants. Max brings so much joy and laughter to my life, and working together on wedding days is just one more reason I love what I do.
