This beautiful fall wedding day in Northern Virginia was a dream!

Sofie & Liam planned a beautiful wedding day that honored their union as husband and wife at their traditional Catholic ceremony and a backyard reception to celebrate with their family and friends.

One of my favorite aspects of Sofie & Liam’s wedding day was the inclusion of her childhood home. Sofie and her bridesmaids got ready at her home while the tent for their reception was being set up on the lawn. There were many special moments that morning in her childhood home, having her hair and makeup done in her bedroom, a first look with her bridesmaids by the stairs, and a first look with her dad in the living room. Also, Liam and the guys got ready at Sofie’s brother’s home!

Their ceremony was held at the stunning Corpus Christi Catholic Church. The photos of this ceremony speak for themselves. Beautiful! Then, guests made their way back to The Harangozo residence for Sofie & Liam’s cocktail hour and reception.

A quick note about Sofie & Liam! Sofie is also a wedding photographer. She’s based in Charleston, SC and here is her website. We met through a coaching program that we were both in and I can’t believe she picked me to photograph her wedding day. It is an honor to be trusted by another photographer. These two were the sweetest people and I’m honored to now call them my friends!
