I had the rain jackets and the umbrellas packed for Haven & Zach’s wedding…
I had been monitoring the forecast for more than a week leading up to this wedding and I was 100% prepared to work around the rain. On our final phone call, I discussed the rain plan with Haven & Zach. In the last 24 hours before the wedding, the rain just decided to move out. I even packed our rain jackets and umbrellas just in case the rain decided to surprise us. I’m sure glad it didn’t because Haven & Zach had the perfect weather for their early fall wedding!
If you’re unfamiliar with the North Carolina map, there is a tiny town called Seagrove on the outskirts of Asheboro. You’ve probably heard it mentioned concerning pottery. Seagrove is known as the “handmade pottery capital of the United States” and it’s where I was born! I’ve been in Winston-Salem for most of my life but Seagrove is still a special place for my family. This was my first time photographing a wedding close to my hometown. Zach’s family are close family friends of mine, so it was super fun to have friends and family as guests at this wedding!
