When Maegan sent me her inspiration for her engagement photos, I knew that downtown Winston Salem would be the perfect spot!
When Maegan & Josh showed up, I immediately knew that I was going to talk about their outfit choices in this blog post. I recommend to my clients that they pick two different outfits for their engagement photos – a more casual outfit that you would wear to a nice date night and a fancier outfit (think wedding guest). We decided to do Maegan & Josh’s more casual outfit first, because their second outfit was the grand finale! 🙂 One thing to note about Maegan & Josh’s first outfit is how the colors compliment each other.
Maegan killed it with the subtle bridal looks in both her outfits. Maegan thought about the details in her outfits – the pearl shoes, the purse, the gold jewelry, and a pony tail to change up her hair for the second outfit.
Maegan & Josh’s second outfit could not have been better! Josh chose a suit, which is perfect for engagement photos. I know most guys don’t wear a suit on a daily basis and it can feel too dressy, but suits always photograph so well! For guys, it’s always better to be overdressed than underdressed. Maegan’s dress was stunning! Simple, yet elegant. It matched the front of the Millinuim Center perfectly. And the pony tail tied together the perfect, modern elegance of this session!
